What the Visit Covers

- ✓Test combustion safety and check the heat exchanger for cracks on gas and oil equipment

- ✓Check condensate drains and clear blockages before they overflow
- ✓Tighten electrical connections and measure motor amp draw against spec

By System Type
Gas, oil, boiler, and cooling equipment each need different things checked.
Gas furnace
Burner and heat exchanger inspection, combustion safety testing, and ignition system check. The heat exchanger check matters most: a crack is the failure that puts carbon monoxide into your living space, and it is invisible without an inspection.
Oil furnace
Nozzle and electrode service, combustion adjustment, and a check of the fuel filter and pump pressure. Oil equipment drifts out of adjustment faster than gas and genuinely needs the annual visit.
Boiler
Pressure and temperature control testing, low-water cutoff check, circulator inspection, and bleeding air from the loop where zones are running cold.
Central air & heat pumps
Coil cleaning, refrigerant charge verification, capacitor and contactor inspection, and a check of the defrost cycle on heat pumps heading into winter.

What does the $99 tune-up include?+
A full seasonal inspection of one system: burner and coil cleaning, refrigerant or combustion checks depending on equipment type, safety control testing, thermostat calibration, condensate drain clearing, and a written report of what we found. It is a flat $99 for the visit, quoted before we arrive.
Is the $99 price per system or per visit?+
It covers one heating or cooling system. Homes with two furnaces, a furnace plus separate central air, or multiple ductless heads are quoted per system — call 401-425-9879 and we will give you the exact number before scheduling.
How often should a furnace or AC be tuned up?+
Once a year per system is the standard, and most manufacturer warranties require documented annual service to stay valid. Ideally the air conditioner gets serviced in spring before the first hot stretch and the furnace in fall before the heat gets turned on.
Does a tune-up actually save money, or is it just an upsell?+
A dirty or out-of-adjustment system burns more fuel to hit the same temperature, which shows up directly on the bill, and the small problems a tune-up catches are far cheaper than the mid-January breakdown they turn into. We give you a written report and let you decide what, if anything, to do next.
What if you find something wrong during the tune-up?+
We tell you what we found, show you the issue, and quote the repair upfront. You are never obligated to have the work done at that visit, and the $99 stands whether or not you approve any repair.
